Below are the requirements to qualify for DAPA:
- Have continuous residence in the United States since January 1, 2010;
- Be the parent of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident born on or before November 20, 2014; and
- Not be an enforcement priority for removal from the United States, pursuant to the November 20, 2014, Policies for the Apprehension, Detention and Removal of Undocumented Immigrants Memorandum. No Criminal records.
It will not start accepting applications for the next 180 days.
Although USCIS has not release any procedures and guidelines for this application, applicants may start gathering some documents to prove 1. identity, 2. relationship to the US citizen or Legal Permanent Resident, 3. continuous residency for the last 5 years or more.
