According to the Department of State there are 2525 EB-5 visas still available for FY 2015. From the 7,669 used, the countries with most EB-5 recipients were China (roughly 88%), followed by Vietnam and Taiwan. Additionally, due to the high number of Chinese EB-5 beneficiaries, the June 2015 Visa Bulletin issued by the US Department of State has established a cut of date or priority date of May 1, 2013. As a result, any Chinese born EB-5 petition filed after May 1, 2013 is put on a “waiting list”. The petitions filed by applicants who are not citizens of China continue to be processed immediately.
